About Us

“Drink tea and nourish life;  with the first sip; joy; with the second sip, satisfaction; with the third sip, peace."

Love & Tea ~ 'Make Life Beautiful' ...

Using organic herbs that we and other small scale family farms grow, we carefully handcraft natural, health promoting herbal tea blends for the whole family. Our Woman's Teas are blended to nourish women through the stages of pregnancy and beyond. And, remembering the rest of the family, we blend a creative collection of teas for anyone to enjoy anytime.

We grow some of our herbs here in our own organic herb gardens in the rich and fertile Vermont soil. The rest of our herbs we buy from small scale family farms who respect the earth, who farm the fields in a loving way, clean and organically.

Our Green and Black Teas are sourced from an exclusive tea importer that we have carefully selected through a very mindful process of finding someone that fits perfectly with our standards and commitment to protecting the environment. We are very happy to work directly with our tea importer who provides, what we feel, are the very best organic teas from around the world.

Keeping it Loose, ~Celebrating The Art of Loose Leaf Teas~

At Love & Tea, we promote the art of loose leaf teas.

* Tea bags can contain harmful toxic chemicals, that not only leach out into your cup but poison your body.  To read more on the toxicity of tea bags click here

*Mindful engagement. Loose tea connects you to your cup and the moment.

What you'll NEVER find in our teas:

* You won't find artificial flavors

* You won't find artificial sweeteners ( yes, some teas are pre-loaded!)

About Jen, founder of Love & Tea Co.

Born and raised in Vermont, Jen was deeply connected and immersed in the appreciation of the natural plant world at an early age.

In 1991, Jen pursued her education and training in the healing arts, where she enrolled in a certificate program of Harmonic Massage, with herbalist Sage Blue. After completion of this program she went on to continue her studies to attend Colorado State University and Oregon State University, majoring in Occupational Therapy and Botany.

In 1997, she enrolled in the professional training in western herbalism at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies, in Boulder, Colorado.  Jen has been blessed to study under renowned herbalists; Feather Jones, Ann Drucker, Diana Deluca, Brigitte Mars, Ryan Drum , Paul Bergner, Seven-Song, David Hoffman, Michael Moore, Catherine Hunziker, Martha Oaks, Amadea Morningstar and Alakanda Devi.  Jen graduated from the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies, as a Certified Herbalist specializing in Herbal Therapies for Pregnancy, Post-partum and Women’s Health.

Jen then went on to further study Ayurveda at the Rocky Mountain Institute for Yoga and Ayurveda, in Boulder Co. where she enrolled in the Ayurvedic Post-partum Doula program. In addition to her ayurvedic training, she also studied the Science and Art of Ayurveda at the Alandi Ashram in Boulder, Co.  Jen also became a Certified Yoga Instructor from the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram, where she specialized in pre-natal and post-partum yoga.

Love & Tea Company was founded in 2006 in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont!

Jen hand-crafts each tea blend from a selection of vibrant herbs in small batches with great attention to the balance of the herbs – knowing that others will be brewing this tea to enjoy the natural health promoting benefits. We keep the size of our herbs larger, which is to say, we do not grind them down to a powder, this preserves more flavor, color, aroma, and the nutritional aspects of the tea. Our packaging is made of recycled materials, is biodegradable and even compost able!

In addition to creating tea blends and mothering her four little one’s, Jen is also a self-taught artist. Many of her painting’s can be seen here on the tea labels. Her artwork has been published in several additions of We’ Moon and most recently in the Spirit Of We’ Moon Celebrating 30 Years Anthology.

On the labels you find original art by Jen Lashua, Donna D'Orio and, other artists who deserve to receive greater awareness of the wonderful beauty that they bring into the world through art. Love & Tea always seeks ways to help promote the artists .... we feel they are critically important to a healthy community.
